A life long resident of Halifax County, Jim Allred has enjoyed selling real estate for the last 13 years. Real estate, however, is not where his career started. Educated in the Halifax Country school system and after serving in the U.S. Army, Jim furthered his education at Danville Community College, achieving associate degrees in accounting and in business. He then went on to work for the State of Virginia for 30 years. When he’s not working in real estate, he can be found pursuing one of his other passions. One of those passions is his weekly ministry as a Gospel Music D.J. at South Boston’s local station, WHLF. It’s a ministry he’s been leading for over 40 years, with many faithful listeners tuning in each week. Another of Jim’s passions is his collection of antique automobiles. He enjoys restoring and driving a variety of classic cars including a Model A and a 1940 Ford. Perhaps his greatest passion, however is his family. He’s been married to his wife Bettie for over 40 years, and has one son, and three grandchildren.

Oscar Robertson grew up on a tobacco farm in Pittsylvania County and has lived and worked here his entire life. He is a US Army veteran (a recipient of the Bronze Star), attended local colleges and universities, and has extensive administrative experience in private business.
